days until our wedding!

Seems we have really gotten so much done this week! (FINALLY!!!) Tuesday we met with and booked the church, then on Saturday we booked our reception Hall (the local VFW) and not only did we book it for the Wedding reception, we booked it for the night before. We will have the rehearsal dinner Friday night before the wedding at 6pm, we'll meet at the church, do our thang and then head down to the hall and have dinner. Since so many people are going to be there (over 30) we are just having pizza and beer and soda pop. I figured we'll have dinner, visit, then turn it into a decorating party. The more hands the better!

After we booked the hall (800 bucks for two nights, how awesome is that?) We went to Borreccini's Bakery, and I know I misspelled that. We decided on a wedding cake and tasted their fillings and frosting. We are going to have a chocolate cake with strawberry filling. We originally wanted red velvet cake, but they don't offer that and it's not that big of a deal. The cake will be about 430 bucks, for about 255 people. Not too shabby there either. I am trying to be strict on our wedding budget, but it's so hard when you really don't know what you're spending.

Last night, we had family portraits. Lori's friend Adrienne was the photographer, she is a photography student right now, and is trying to make a name for herself. She's done weddings and stuff before and we got to talking and she's doing our wedding! She's going to take all the pictures for us and then give us the negatives, which we'll develop when we get back from our honeymoon. She's agreeing to do it for a really great price and man, I am just really pleased that someone we know is doing it. I think it'll be so much more personal that way.

So yes, these big things are getting done and it's kind of freaking me out. It's a bit scary that it's actually happening. That we are spending money on this stuff... wow.
