days until our wedding!

I had this whole damn thing typed out and diaryland lost it. ARG.

Ok, welcome to the newish layout; I like this one much better, I love that photo on the left.

So, I bought the flower girl's dresses off of ebay, got both in the same style, with shipping for 77 bucks total. Not too shabby! They haven't arrived yet, but when they do we'll be taking a road trip up to Granite Falls to let the girls try them on. Here's what they look like:

I don't think I posted pics of our rings yet, so here is Aaron's ring:

He had it narrowed down to this one and a more plain looking band, I loved them both and was actually surprised that he chose the one with more detail. It reminds me of a celtic design.

And this would be my ring:

I love the simplicity of it, and it fits flush against my e-ring. Love it!

A lot of the talk about our wedding lately has had to do with decorating. I figure I'd rather just decorate the church with candles and a bit of tulle strung on the pews, as we only spend a fraction of our time there anyway. Here is the idea for the pews along the center aisle:

Very simple, and elegant.

Now, since we are having to forego a hot dinner and have a cold buffet, (saving money) I still want the place to have an air of dreaminess... the place meaning our reception. I don't want it to look like we are trying to save money. My biggest want for the decorations is to drape tulle from the ceiling, along with lots of twinkly lights. We already have four large white lightup christmas trees, so this is the ideal setup here:

If tulle becomes too expensive, and we can only drape it from the ceiling and not on much else, here is another idea with less lights too:

And if it's too much weight on the tulle for the lights, how about just winding the columns with the lights like so?

And you know, if that's not enough, then how about a nice simple drape behind the cake table like so:

Basically I think with some of the decorations and the (damn expensive...but worth it I think) DJ and MC we hired, I think there will be a fairytale/dreamy atmosphere. That's the hope anyway.

I've already begun looking into buying tulle in bulk on the web, any suggestions for where I might find it cheap would be awesome!
