days until our wedding!
So, welcome to the newish layout... I say newish because I wanted to move the pic from the side to the center (and actually use a completely different picture altogether) but with a lot of tweaking this and testing that, I got to this style and I actually really like it!
Ok, so I bought the flower girl's dresses off of ebay, they are both in the same style, just different sizes. Got them both with shipping for 77 bucks. Not bad eh?
They haven't arrived in the mail yet, but when they get here we'll be takin' a trip up to Granite Falls to have the girls try them on.
I don't think I've posted these here either, but here is a picture of Aaron's ring:
I really like it, he had it narrowed down to two; this one and a more plain design. I really liked both of them, and was surprised he chose the one with more detail. This reminds me of a celtic design, very cool.
And here is my ring:
I love the simpleness, and it's small enough so it fits flush up against the e-ring.
Most of the planning right now is me trying to figure out what kind of decorations I want for the reception and the ceremony. I figure for the ceremony, not too much... just some tulle along the pews like this:
. I figure we are going to be at the ceremony for only a fraction of the time, so I'd rather just have lots of candles and simple decor. The reception is where I want it to be like a fairytale.
Sure, we are having to make cuts to allow for the budget... such as a cold buffet for food and no wine, but I want the atmosphere to be very dreamy. What I most want is tulle draped from the ceiling and lots of white twinkle lights. We already have 4 lightup white trees, and I am looking into buying tulle in bulk on ebay. Here is the general idea ...
This is the ideal set up... the dream:

Now, if we can't afford that much tulle, we could always just do the ceiling like so:
still, very pretty.
Another idea would be to forego the lights in the tulle (I would imagine it gets heavy?) and just wrap some columns with the lights like so:
and then maybe something like this drape of tulle behind the cake.

Basically I just want it to seem like a fairy tale. I don't want the lack of money evident. I think the atmosphere will be the easiest way to achieve this. Coupled with the (expensive) dj and mc we hired, I think it just might be like a fairy tale. That and one of my best friends (troy- also a groomsman) is highly talented when it comes to decorating and finding deals, so I'm sure we'll be able to create something pretty.
